CASA Volunteer Training

CASA of East Texas is training new volunteers. As part of their training, an East Texas couple who use to be addicted to meth is speaking to the class.  At one point, the couple lost custody of their 3 children.  They hope their story will help the volunteers.

"I hope to better let them better understand what the parents are going through and help them better understand what people on drugs are going through.  There is hope for anybody who actually what to get off drugs, put your faith in God and leave it to him," says Paul Elmor, recovering meth addict.

Paul and his wife just got custody of their 3 children 4 months ago.

The volunteers at the training tonight will be sworn in as Court Appointed Special Advocates by Judge Carole Clark tomorrow morning.
