Lindale came out on the field fired up by the jam-packed stadium there for the Homecoming game against Van. The Eagles didn't disappoint, beating the Vandals 31-7. The Lindale offense came out big, but their defense came out even bigger. Even with the in-game to two of Lindales defensive starters, LB Chris Mills and DE Kirk Rosenbaum, the Eagles pulled together and held back the Vandal running game. Lindale also kept up their passing defense with both LB Richard Kyle and WR/FS Seth Bauman returning interceptions for touchdowns.
This Friday the Lindale Eagles travel to Canton to try and extend their 3 game winning streak. The Eagles hope to get some payback for last year when Canton beat them 27-20, gaining the top spot in the District standings. Although Lindale is no longer in Canton's 3A district, beating them is just one of the smaller obstacles facing the Eagles. The big obstacles will come later in the season when Lindale takes on #1 ranked Texas High at home.
