Light Smoke Reported Aboard International Space Station

NASA now says light smoke reported aboard the international space station turned out to be vapor. The international space station astronauts had donned protective gloves and goggles after noticing what they initially thought was light smoke aboard the orbiting lab.

Nasa spokeswoman kelly Humphries says "things are calming down."

Meanwhile,  the space shuttle Atlantis is heading home. The crew spent the last six days at the  international space station, upgrading the facility and boosting its solar power. Before heading back to Earth, the crew conducted a fly-around, circling the Space Station one last time to view its new construction.

Atlantis returns to Earth Wednesday morning after 11 days in space.
