ROGERS, Minn.-- A severe storm is blamed for the death of a ten-year-old girl in Minnesota, where hundred of homes have been damaged.

The girl was in a neighbor's home that collapsed.

The Rogers, Minnesota, police chief says as many as 300 homes have been significantly damaged. Seven people were hurt and two remain hospitalized today.

Police say the storm "just came out of nowhere" and slammed the town about 26 miles northwest of Minneapolis.

Some blocks are devastated. Others are hardly touched. Snapped trees crumpled vehicles. Shingles and debris litter yards. At one point power was cut off to ten-thousand customers.

The National Weather Service is investigating if a tornado caused the devastation.
