President Bush Takes Part In 911 Observances

President Bush says he and his wife, Laura, face tomorrow "with a heavy heart."  Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of the September 11th attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

The President and First Lady laid wreaths at Ground Zero in New York, attended a prayer service, then greeted firefighters.  President Bush calls the anniversary "a day of renewing resolve" and says he's vowed to never "forget the lessons of that day." He says there's "still an enemy out there who would like to inflict  the same kind of damage again."

Tomorrow, the president will visit with more firefighters and other first responders in Manhattan, attend a ceremony at the Pennsylvania field where United Flight 93 slammed into the ground and participate in a wreath-laying at the Pentagon.

President Bush addresses the nation tomorrow night from the White House.
