Advocates Satisfied With Drunk Driving Sentence

An east Texas family says finally "some" justice has been done in a deadly case of drunk driving.   Yesterday 34 year old Kristel Hock was sentenced to 7 years in prison by an Upshur county judge. Hock was pregnant when first convicted in a 2003 accident that killed 26- year old Greg Brown.   She received "probation" but after the birth, she and the child both tested positive for cocaine. Members of "Mothers Against Drunk Driving" protested the original sentence, but say they are now pleased.

"She will be taken off the roads and taken out of society where she can potentially harm herself and her own family for her that sake" said east Texas "Madd" director Vicki Knox.

Kristel Hock will not be eligible for parole until serving 2-and-a-half years.
