Women Brave The Heat To Build House

An East Texas family, made up of all women, will soon be moving into a house that is being built by all women.   Volunteers from the Smith County Bar Association, Best Buy and the soon-to-be homeowner, Patricia Jackson, braved the heat today. The funds for the house is being donated to Habitat for Humanity of Smith County by the Tyler Junior League. Today's job was to put up the walls.

"Everyone out here is female and will be throughout with a few supervisors, but this house will be completely constructed by women, most of which who have never constructed a house before.  A lot of which who have never held a hammer before, so it's an amazing thing to endeavor,"  said volunteer Shannon Dacus.

The theme for the house is See Jane Build. The Jackson family should be able to move in by November.
