Peru-Based Company Opens Store In Tyler

A company based out of Peru opens a store and its largest distribution center in North America in Tyler. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place this afternoon for the Santa Natura store on Troup Highway. The company sells organically-grown extracts from the rain forest. It also sells clothes and other gift items.

The company has two other stores in the U.S., in Miami and Los Angeles.  Santa Natura's national sales manager says Tyler's location makes it convenient for them to ship their products throughout the country.   "It's easier to ship the containers from South America to Houston. It's the easiest to ship for us and it's a short jump from Houston to Tyler and then we can truck it from almost anywhere," said Rolf Borck.

The company says it expects to employ between 100 and 120 East Texans by the end of the year.
