East Texas Family Gets New Home Built By Women

An East Texas family will soon have a new home, and it's a house that will be built by all women.  Habitat For Humanity of Smith County held a ground breaking ceremony for the Jackson family who will be moving in their new home in November. A special guest stopped by,  Miss Texas USA Megan Ellis from Whitehouse. The Junior League of Tyler is sponsoring the house.  It's a home they call See Jane Build.

"This house is a blessing to me and my family and today is one of the greatest days of our lives," said Patricia Jackson, homeowner. "It's a starting for a brand new life for us and we are just so thankful for being here."   Volunteers from the Junior League, and Miss Texas USA herself will be out early this Saturday morning to put up the walls.
