Longview Restaurants Where Health Inspectors Found Some Problems

     Five Longview area restaurants were given the most serious violations in the latest round of inspections by the Longview Health Department, including Popeyes Fried Chicken at 217 East Marshall avenue. 10 violations were found in an August 10th inspection ,hot and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures, there was improper handling of ready to eat foods, and unsanitary food prep areas were found. They scored a C.

Inspected August 11th, 8 violations were found at Chen's restaurant at 10212 Mccann Road. Cold foods were at unsafe temperatures, there was improper cooling of cooked foods, and employees were cited for hygienic violations. They scored a C.

8 violations were found in an August 9th inspection of Hunan Restaurant at 420 north High Street. Stored foods were not properly protected and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures, they scored a C.

Inspected July 12th, 9 violations were found at Church's Chicken at 917 East Marshall avenue. Hot foods were at dangerous temperatures, food contact surfaces were uncleaned, and there was evidence of insect contamination. They were originally given a C, after reinspection they scored a B.

Tex-mex restaurant 2009 south Mobberly had 6 violations in a July 14th inspection. Hot and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures and there was evidence of insect contamination. Originally given a C score, after reinspection they scored a B.
