Auto Burglaries Strike South Tyler

Police are reminding you to take your valuables with you, whenever you are not in your car. The warning comes after three cars are broken into in south Tyler and a fourth attempt was made.

The burglaries happened sometime this morning at an office on Old Bullard Road, the IHOP on the loop, Toys R Us and the Shelley Drive Animal Clinic.

One of the animal hospital employees had her window smashed in with a hammer, and her purse stolen from inside. Police soon found that purse in a dumpster.

A short time later, they arrested 28 year old Anthony Hamilton. Police found him leaving Toys R Us where one of the cars was broken into. He's now facing 3 charges of auto burglary.
