Letters From Camp: Day Two Full Of Injury Reports

The first two days of Cowboys Training Camp brought on some aches and pains for a quite a few players.

Now Coach Bill Parcells has the headache of figuring out what to do next.

One of those plagued by injury, Marcus Spears. The defensive end suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee during Saturday's opening practice.

He was scheduled to have surgery Sunday and is expected to be out two to three weeks. If you have that funny feeling of deja vu, it's real. Spears was also hurt last season and missed most of training camp.

Other news out of Oxnard, tight end Brett Pierce tore his ACL again. Coach Parcells said the injury will require him to have another surgery and the injury is season ending.  It is the third time he has torn his ACL in his left knee.

Offensive tackle Flozell Adams returned to practice. Adams had been on the physically unable to perform list. Parcells said they wanted to make sure he was strong enough to return.

Fans will recall he tore his ACL last season.
