U.N Outraged By Deliberate Airstrike

Israel's prime minister is expressing "deep regret" over the deaths of at least three U.N. peacekeepers in south Lebanon.

Ehud Olmert says the peacekeepers who died in an Israeli airstrike were killed mistakenly and that he's dismayed by the accusations of UN chief Kofi Annan. Annan has called the airstrike "apparently deliberate."

Four U.N. observers were in the post when the Israeli bomb hit. One of the dead has been identified as a Chinese observer. Another is still missing and feared dead.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah is reporting one Israeli soldier has been killed and five wounded in heavy fighting around a Lebanese border town. In a statement broadcast on Al-Manar TV, Hezbollah says "violent confrontations" erupted between its fighters and Israeli forces attempting to advance from a hilltop toward a hospital in the town.

Hezbollah's leader is vowing more rocket attacks deeper into Israel.
