Brownsboro Teacher Gets Max Sentence

The former Brownsboro High School band director receives the maximum sentence for a recent conviction.

Danny Burns was convicted last week on two counts of tampering with a witness. Today, he was sentenced to two 24 month sentences for both counts. Those sentences will be served at the same time.

Burns was also on trial for having an improper relationship with a student, but a mistrial was declared when the jury couldn't agree on a verdict.

No word from the DA on whether they will retry that case.
