Former Lee Football Coach/AD Passed Away

A well known figure in the East Texas sporting world has passed away. Former Robert E. Lee football coach and TISD athletic director Don Barton died Sunday at his home. The Longview high school grad, played football for UT and the Green Bay Packers. He was 76 years old. The visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler. The funeral service is Thursday at 2:30pm at the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel.
