More East Texas Cities Call For Voluntary Water Conservation

The drought is causing another East Texas city to ask its residents to try and conserve water. Yesterday, it was Lake Cherokee, one of Longview's major water suppliers.

Today, the City Of Whitehouse is asking residents with odd numbered houses to water on odd number days. People with even numbered houses are asked to water on even numbered days.  If there's no significant rain in the near future, the city says those suggestions may become mandatory restrictions.

The City Of Tyler says they have plenty of water to meet the demand, but they are also asking residents to try and conserve water.
