An 18-wheeler collides with another 18-wheeler in Smith County, sending one driver to the hospital. It happened around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon on Interstate 20 near Mile Marker 567.
The Department of Public Safety says the driver of one truck traveling west-bound, somehow rear ended another 18-wheeler.
The driver was trapped inside his truck for about 30 minutes before being taken to a local hospital.
Officials say he received severe burns on his right arm, chest and left leg. West bound traffic was closed for almost an hour.
The exact cause of the crash is still unknown.
