Tears today for an East Texas woman on trial for first-degree murder. Sharon Daniels, who is accused shooting her pastor husband three times back in September, wept in a Rusk County courtroom.
As the medical examiner described where and how her husband, David Daniels, was shot, Sharon began to cry, closing her eyes and covering her ears.
There was also testimony from David's sister and brother-in-law, who say he was a loving and religious man. Victor Dunn, David's third cousin says, "It's a big adjustment so we're all coping with it in different ways. The thing is you just have to do what you have to do to cope with it."
Family members of Sharon say she has never had any record of violence. Tomorrow jurors will hear more witness testimony. A verdict is expected to be handed down in the afternoon.
