Rain Brings Mosquito Threat Again

Some East Texas counties are taking measures against mosquitos, as the insects make a summer comeback. Short periods of showers recently have created enough temporary pools to help mosquitos breed.

Harrison and Gregg counties continue to spray for the pests. The city of Marshall is spraying about four to five days a week.

The counties could continue to spray for mosquitos until September, or when the weather is cooler and the night temperature is below 65 degrees.
