Sirens Again Fail In Longview Test

Some set backs today for the city of Longview's emergency siren system, as some sirens fail to function. During the city's regular test today, several sirens failed to function properly, neither sounding or rotating. During last month's tests, 5 of the sixteen alarms failed to perform.

The Longview Fire Chief presented recommendations to the city council on May 18, one of those calls for the city to spend more than 500-thousand dollars to replace the system.
