The Flint-Gresham Fire Department kicked off the Knollwood Neighborhood's 11 year tradition, today.
Kids followed right behind the fire trucks, celebrating the Fourth of July in their annual block parade. Some ran, but most rode their bikes.
Bystanders watched as the parade wrapped around the block. And all sported the colors of the day: red, white, and blue.
Diane Knowles, the organizer of the event said, "When my kids were growing up, I decided we needed to do this for them and all the neighborhood children. It's a good way to show our patriotism and have a good time."
