Trial Date Set For Man Accused Of Shooting DPS Trooper

A trial date has been set for the man accused of shooting a DPS trooper.   Ramon Ramos, 38, appeared in state district court yesterday. His trial has been set for July 17th.   Ramos and Francisco Saucedo are each charged with 14 counts of aggravated assault on a public servant for allegedly shooting Trooper Steven Stone in March. Officials say the pair also got into a shoot out with 13 Tyler police officers.
