McCowns' Set To Pass Along Lessons To Youngsters

Their impact on East Texas football is immeasurable. Three brothers, three division one quarterbacks, two of which are now in the NFL.

As the McCowns fame grows, so does their loyalty to East Texas.

The third annual McCown Passing Camp kicks off Friday, June 30 in their hometown of Jacksonville.

Youngsters can learn tips from new, Detroit Lions quarterback Josh, and former Texas A&M quarterback Randy.

Luke McCown will be there in spirit, he is doing rehabilitation work with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a torn ACL.

This year the camp will have a new feature, tips from receivers. Those include Chapel Hill's Terrance Murphy and NFL star Anquan Boldin.

"Whenever we approached them, I think it was an easy thing because you try to surround yourself with people that kind of think the way you do and guys that want to give back like we do," Josh said.

The McCowns say no matter where they have gone in life, there is no place like Jacksonville.

"It's nice to be home and obviously the football tradition," Josh said. "It's second to none. I would have to answer questions when I was in Arizona and now in Michigan, everybody wants to know about football here in Texas and 'Friday Night Lights' and is that real and I kind of have to tell them the stories about how we follow football."

The McCown's passing camp begins tomorrow at 4 p.m. and runs through Saturday.   Due to the growing number of participants, it's being held at Jacksonville's Maudlin Field.

You can still register at the start of camp.  It's $125 dollars.
