United Way's Day of Caring

More than 300 East Texas volunteers came out for the 13th annual United Way Day of Caring.   in Tyler, these volunteers were busy planting flowers, laying down mulch and painting. Volunteers give their time to area non profits. This year there were around 40 projects.

"Day of Caring allows us to get some things done that we wouldn't have time to do otherwise.  We just think this is such a gift that united Way gives back to the community and the Day of Caring is always special to us," says Jacque Fowler, Executive Director of ARC of Tyler.

Volunteers will complete projects for 28 agencies in Smith County.
