Lindale Police Chief Resigns

Lindale's police chief is stepping down after 15 years as head of the department.

Chief Sheryl Bolton's resignation was accepted at last night's city council meeting. City Manager Jim Cox says Bolton is leaving for personal reasons.  That he's planning to stay in the Lindale area and pursue other endeavors.

Newly-promoted Lieutenant Dan Somes will be named interim chief as the city looks for a replacement.
