Native East Texan Becomes Hall Of Famer

A native East Texan has reached hall of fame status.  Thursday night, Will Jennings was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City Thursday.  Jennings grew up near New Chapel Hill. He's best known for his Oscar-winning songs "Up Where We Belong" from the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" and "My Heart Will Go On" from "Titanic" which he collaborated with composer James Horner. The 62-year-old plans to come back to East Texas to celebrate his achievement with his family.
