Longview Restaurants That Didn't Make The Grade

     5 Longview area restaurants were given the most severe violations in the latest inspection by the Longview health department. Including Mazzio's Pizza at 2108 Gilmer road. Inspected June 8th, 9 violations were found. There was cross contamination of raw and cooked foods, stored foods were' not properly protected, and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures. They scored a C.

     7 violations were found in a May 10th inspection of Carters Bar-b-que at 519 South Eastman road. Hot and cold foods were out of temperatures , there were improper hand wash facilities , and some utensils were not sanitized. They scored a C.

   Subway of east Texas at 3127 Estes parkway had 7 violations in a May 11th inspection. Food contact surfaces were uncleaned, and store foods were not properly protected. They scored a B.

      7 violations were found in a May 18th inspection of Ryans Family Steak house at 301 East Loop 281. Stored foods were unprotected and hot and cold foods were held at unsafe temperatures. They scored a B.

    Panderia Cardenas at 1409 Pine Tree road had 7 violations in a May 11th inspection. Unsafe thawing of foods was found and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures. They scored a B.
