A KLTV 7 investigation exposed him for posing as a fake Hurricane Katrina evacuee. A federal judge sentenced Walter Ray Stall to prison. Stall had been using the alias Ray Johnson, saying his wife and son drowned while trying to escape the hurricane. The government later indicted Stall after he tried to apply for federal assistance from FEMA. As part of a plea, Stall pleaded guilty to one of two federal counts against him, the second was dropped. He will serve 10 months in jail, with three years probation and a $100 fine.
