An accident, this afternoon, at an East Texas camp sends a teenage girl to the hospital. It happened on the high ropes course at Timberline Baptist Camp located on FM 849 in Lindale. The camp says a 14-year-old girl from Kingwood, Texas was standing on a platform waiting to go down the zip line when she fell. Officials estimate the fall to be about 15 feet. The girl was care-flighted to ETMC.
"We're investigating what happened now," said Camp Director Doug Crawford. "We're not for sure. She took a pretty good fall. She was in good spirits, talking about her arm hurting and apparently she skinned her arms a little bit coming down." The camp says this is the first time anyone has fallen off the ropes course.
