Lakeway Harbor residents are hoping they're a step closer to improving, what they say are, poor road conditions in their neighborhood. The community is located along 155 south, on the east side of Lake Palestine. The roads there are said to be deteriorating. Residents learned in a public meeting, fixing their roads would cost $450,000, a price residents there would have to pay out of their own pockets because the roads in that community are private. The next step: ballots will be sent to Lakeway Harbor residents for an official vote to approve the cost and conditions of the repairs.
