Crystal Ball Needs Volunteers, Donations

An event that benefits people with special needs in East Texas needs your help. The Crystal Ball is tomorrow night, but volunteers and donations are still running short. The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Community Work Force of Texas. The organization provides services to individuals with disabilities.

Event organizers say there are a number of positions you can help out with. "We need volunteers to put the corsages and boutonnieres, to help with photography, to help in the kitchen area to clean and get the food ready," said Crystal Ball Chairman Amanda Halter.

The crystal ball is tomorrow at the Harvey Convention Center in Tyler. It's from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase your tickets at Community Access, Community Work Force of Texas, ARC or ETCIL.

Two of tomorrow's participants still do not have dresses. Organizers say if you have a dress, size 22 or 26, or if you would like to volunteer, call Community Work Force of Texas.  You can also just show up tomorrow night to volunteer.
