Elephant Art Sale

Art afficianados, get ready for the most unique art sale you've ever seen.  Elephants from The Caldwell Zoo are the unlikely abstract artists. They paint once a month for mental stimulation, holding the brush with their trunk.

Their keepers say two of the elephants just do it for the treats, but they say Rolinda puts her heart and soul into each piece.

Keeper Meaghan McCeig," When it comes to painting, it's Rolinda. You can really see her thinking about it. You can see her staring at the canvas and trying to figure out where to go."

If you'd like to get your hands on the elephant artwork, Monday's your chance. From 11am to 4pm, 150 paintings priced from $15 to $149 dollars will be for sale at The Caldwell Zoo in Tyler. All the proceeds will benefit an elephant outreach program.
