Lindale Baseball Team Building Long Playoff Streak

The Lindale baseball team is riding quite a streak right now.  This year marks the 9th straight season the Eagles have made the playoffs.  Besides being in familiar territory, they're playing a familiar opponent.  Lindale beat Van Alstyne in last years regional semifinals.

"Just a lot more confidance," said  Eagles catcher Jacob Cates, "because we know we've already beaten them, and they're pretty much the same team, so it gives us a lot more confidance knowing that."

"Last year we played our game and we played well," said Eagles outfielder Brook Johnson, "and that's why we beat them.  That's what we plan on doing the second time around."

Lindale opens their three-game seies with Van Alstyne Wednesday night at 7:30pm in Sulphur Springs.
