Read-A-Thon Held At Longview School

Celebrity readers gathered today at Longview Elementary School to promote the joy of reading, and there was one familiar face reading to the children.

"Running to avoid the tomatoes , there town was a mess, there were seeds and pulp everywhere, he's in the bathtub" read KLTV weatherman Mark Scirto to one of the classes.

"The Longview Pilot Club" sponsored the Read-A-Thon at Valley View Elementary today. Guests included Mark Scirto, Gregg County Judge Bill Stoudt, and the Sheriffs Department even brought in a drug dog,"but not to read". Representatives from the Gregg County Sheriff's Department and the Longview Fire Department visited the classrooms.
