Longview Woman Kidnapped And Assaulted

A Longview woman is abducted at gunpoint, from the parking lot of her apartment complex, and sexually assaulted. Her abductor, is still on the loose. It happened around 8:30 in the morning, yesterday, at the "Longview Square Apartments" at the 1600 block of "Pine Tree Road."

"It's possible he was watching her its also possible he was just in the parking lot waiting for a first opportunity of anyone who came along" said Sargeant Shawn Pendleton.

While the victim was getting in her car to go to work, the abductor put a gun to the back of her head and forced her into a car nearby. The abductor drove her to a remote location, where he sexually assaulted her. Police say the suspect then drove the victim back to her apartments , she got into her car, and he followed her to work.

"He basically told her he was going to follow her to work, why? we don't know at this point" Pendleton said.

The victim remained calm, and went in to work. Police say that's when her co-workers took her to the hospital. The abductor disappeared. News of the attack has area women guarded about their surroundings.

"It was a little shocking because i did not know about that, and some of the ladies get here early in the morning so I'm sure they were here when it happened" said area worker Jennifer Whithrow.

For many it's a reminder that regardless of how peaceful any area may seem, you need to be aware of your surroundings. Police say not panicking probably saved the victim's life. The victim was able to give a very detailed description of her attacker to police.

The man is described as a black male, 30-to-40 years old, around 6 feet tall, weighing between 165-185 pounds. He has a gold tooth and a 3 inch scar on his left arm, from elbow to wrist. He also has a 3- inch scar on his left arm, from elbow to wrist. He was wearing a navy colored shirt, dark blue pants, and work boots. His vehicle is a black sedan, possibly a ford crown victoria, with tinted windows. And, there's a dent in right rear door, with the license plate, or temporary tag on the dash.
