Neighbors in a rural, Harrison county area are having their own problems with streets of speed. The residents live on Quail Lane near F.M. 968, just south of Longview. They say cars and 18- wheelers are constantly driving down their street at speeds of between 50 and 70-miles-an-hour, day and night. The posted speed limit is 40 miles-per-hour.
Many are worried about children who play in the area getting hit by fast-moving traffic. They say there have already been many close calls. They're appealing to Harrison County law enforcement to stop the speeders.
