Four Longview area restaurants were hit with the most serious violations in their latest round of inspections by the Longview health department. Thirteen violations were found in a May 5th inspection of Texas Krispy Chicken at 3099 Estes Parkway. Hot and cold foods were at dangerous temperatures, foods were not protected and foods were improperly thawed.
They scored a "D".
Seven violations were found in a May first inspection of Magic China at 1903 Gilmer Road. There was cross contamination of raw and cooked foods, and inspectors forced the establishment to throw out over 100 pounds of product held at bad temperature, most of it, "spoiled".
They scored a C.
Nine violations were found in an April 17th inspection of the Butcher Shop at 102 Lehigh. Hot and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures and food prop areas were uncleaned.
Originally given a C, upon reinspection they scored a B.
And Dairy Queen at 3815 Marshall Avenue had 8 violations in a March 9th inspection. Hot and cold foods were at unsafe temperatures and there were improper hand wash facilities.
