Local business leaders got an update on the State of Tyler at their quarterly luncheon today. Mayor Joey Seeber spoke to the group about the Tyler 21 Plan, which addresses the needs of such a rapidly growing city.
"In 25 to 35 years, Tyler's probably going to be double in size. Two-hundred thousand people. We need to plan for that growth today, and we need to decide how we're going to get there, and sustain that level of growth, and provide the services for our citizens," Seeber said.
Mayor Seeber says the most difficult issue facing the city is, and will continue to be, traffic congestion and mobility around Tyler.
