Salvation Army Holds Garage Sale

If you're looking for a great deal you might want to stop by the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Super Spring Sale. There are three buildings full of merchandise. In one, you can shop for furniture and china, then you can head to the clothing building. If you're looking for computers, small appliances, books, or toys, you'll find those in the garage sale building. This sale is the Salvation Army's biggest fundraiser. The women's auxiliary says there's a great need in Smith County.

"We have approximately 27 children that are now living in the lodge," said Women's Auxiliary President Virgina Barron. "Those children are picked up each morning and each afternoon. They attend public school here in Tyler, but they live in the lodge and they are supported by the Salvation Army." The Super Spring sale started today and will be open until 8:00 p.m.. Tomorrow and Saturday it opens at 9:00 a.m., and will go until 3:00 p.m. The sale is in three different buildings located on North Spring Street in Tyler.
