Longview Murder Trial Goes To Jury

Both sides rested today in Longview, in the capitol murder trial of an East Texas teen. A medical examiner testified today in the prosecutions case against 16-year old Daniel Massey. Massey is accused of kidnapping and stabbing 17 year old Joshua Petrea last may. During testimony, the medical examiner testified that Petrea was stabbed 67 times.
The defense rested its case without calling any witnesses. Prosecutors say Massey and three others lured Petrea to a home, and threatened him with a shotgun before taking him to a wooded area near White Oak, where his body was found. The case is expected to be presented to the jury on Thursday.
