Deputy Who Nearly Died In Crash Is Back At Work

Just four weeks after nearly being killed in a crash, a Rusk County Sheriff's Deputy is back at work. We spoke with Deputy Glenn Barnes last week about his remarkable recovery. In March, Deputy Barnes got into a car accident while responding to a domestic dispute. He was traveling between 108 and 112 miles-per-hour when his car hit a medium and flipped six times. Doctors say it will be eight weeks before Deputy Barnes can return to full duty, but the Sheriff's Department found some light work for him to do now,  filing papers and answering phone calls. He says he's just happy to be back at work.
