Easter came a week early today for employees and families of ETMC. It was their annual Easter egg hunt and party.
The children were dressed in their Easter best. About 300 of them raced each other to fill their baskets first. Those who attended say they appreciate the hospital planning a day of family fun.
"She was looking for the eggs, and not the nice little packages, but she really enjoyed it, and she got quite a bit. It was fun being out there, seeing all the kids look for their eggs. It was nice," said Lorrie Hudgins, who was there with her granddaughter.
Kids who didn't have much luck hunting for eggs still went home with a smile on their face. The hospital gave out egg-shaped cookies, which the kids seemed to like just as much.
