A former member of the Jacksonville police force has been reindicted, accused of making a false statement to authorities.
Larry Pugh was already indicted for committing multiple sexual assaults while on the job. Now he's facing a new grand jury indictment which states he quote, "Did knowingly, and willfully make a false, fraudulent, and fictitious statement and representation; that he said he had never had sex with anyone while on duty as a Jacksonville police officer." The federal indictment charges, that's not true.
Additionally, a civil lawsuit has been filed against Pugh. In it, he is described as a 'rogue cop' who sprayed the plaintiff with mace, and began striking the plaintiff with a baton. The man in the suit claims he suffered multiple injuries, including temporary blindness.
