Fifty-five-year-old Brian Doyle is expected to be placed on administrative leave this morning from his job at the Department of Homeland Security.
He's a deputy press secretary and is under arrest for allegedly using the Internet to seduce what he thought was a teen-age girl. In reality, it was an undercover sheriff's deputy in Florida posing as a girl.
Authorities say Doyle was online with the deputy when police arrived at his suburban Washington home to arrest him.
The Polk County, Florida, sheriff's office says during the investigation Doyle revealed his name, plus the fact that he worked for the Homeland Security Department, and even offered his office phone number and the number of his government-issued cell phone.
