A Longview man is sentenced to a long prison term, after pleading guilty to felony injury to a child with a deadly weapon. Brian O'Neill Jackson-Grant, 22, entered his plea Thursday for an incident that took place in the summer. According to police, Jackson-Grant and two other suspects picked up a 14-year-old girl while driving in Longview. Officials say they later fired shots at a pedestrian.
Jackson-Grant feared the girl would tell police, and ordered another suspect to shoot her as she fled, wounding her. The girl survived. Jackson-Grant was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
