Suspect Bites Longview Police Officer

A Longview police officer is bitten by a drug arrest suspect, who's found to be HIV positive. Felicia Lynette Harris, 37, was pulled over by police yesterday on 11th street. Officials say Harris resisted arrest, when officers searched her for drugs. According to authorities during the struggle, she bit officer Jason Frealy in the leg. Later, officers learned that Harris is HIV positive.

Frealy was examined at an area hospital and was said to be fine. Medical personnel say it is "extremely unlikely" that he could contract HIV from the incident. Harris is being held at the Gregg County Jail on bonds totaling more than $16,000.
