Monday Night Football is headed to north Louisiana.
The Cowboys and New Orleans Saints have agreed to play a preseason game in Shreveport. The game will be in August and broadcast on ESPN.
It is not the first time these two teams have played in Shreveport. However, this game will have special meaning. The Cowboys and Saints hope to provide Louisiana fans a chance to take their minds off the destruction caused in the state by Hurricane Katrina.
"We've seen what it can do for this part of the state and the state in general," said Shreveport Mayor Keith Hightower, "hopefully to rebuild the Saints organization. We think it's going to be a great opportunity for us to showcase our little corner of the world.
The game is Monday, August 21. It's a 7 p.m. kickoff at Shreveport's Independence Stadium. To learn how you can get tickets, you can contact the Cowboys or Saints main office.
