Storms Saturate North Texas, One Death Reported

Some North Texas rivers and streams are still high after a weekend of heavy rain.

One death is blamed on the flash floods.

The rain has moved to the east, but Dallas is still drying out. Up to seven inches fell in parts of the city yesterday.

A National Weather Service forecaster says houses were flooded and cars were submerged across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He says at least two high-water rescues were reported in Arlington.

Conditions are expected to be warmer and more dry today.
