DALLAS (AP) _ More than five inches of rain fell Sunday in parts of North Texas, causing high-rising floodwaters that killed at least one person. Police say the body of a woman was recovered in Turtle Creek. Officials believe she died after her car was swept off the road and into the water. The area has received a total of six inches of rain since Friday. Police say officers are working with firefighters to evacuate several homes in west Dallas because of rising floodwaters. Officials say numerous people have been rescued from high-water situations. Weather conditions tomorrow are expected to be drier and warmer.
