MS Walk

The 9th Annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk was held this morning. More than 100 walkers gathered at Bergfeld Park to participate.

There was a one mile fun-walk, and a 5k that lead the group to Rose Rudman Park and back.

MS strikes one person every hour, but over the last ten years, thanks to events like this, new medicines have been developed to help people lead more productive lives.

"The whole purpose of us coming out today, is to not only raise money to find a cure and to make life easier for individuals who have Multiple Sclerosis, but also to raise awareness of what Multiple Sclerosis is," said Walk Chairman Denise Alexander.

Gillian Sheridan and Mark Scirto were honorary chairmen for the event.
